Favorite January Eats
& Other Miami things I loved last month
There are so many great restaurants in Miami right now that keeping up almost feels like a sport. I’ve got a running hit list at all times, but January was about being intentional - revisiting my favorites but also finally trying the places I couldn’t stop hearing or thinking about.
Below are the spots I prioritized last month, why they stood out and of course, everything you should order when you visit.
Dinner & Drinks at Pauline at The Shelbourne
Why I loved it: Honestly, I’ll take any excuse to visit The Shelbourne Hotel. It’s fabulous all around - the rooms are beautiful and spacious, the lobby bar is always happening, the pool is a total vibe and the food there is honestly really, really great. Pauline offers New American, Latin and Caribbean-inspired coastal cuisine that is flavorful and delicious. We went here on a double date and had such a nice time.
What to order: The lobster salad, zucchini blossoms and the chicken.

Mush Takeover at the Allegra Paris Bikini Body Pop Up
Allegra Paris has popped up in Sunset Harbour through the end of March and Mush took over the studio for a fun Saturday workout. Allegra’s classes are equal parts challenging and fun. If you’re into non-heated mat pilates and strength training, you absolutely need to stop by for a class. Bonus: the class offers free Stakt mats and weights during your workout.

Chinese Food Sundays at The Joyce
Why I loved it: The Joyce is honestly one of my favorite restaurants in Miami, their food is so, so good and on Sunday’s they offer the most delicious Chinese food menu options. It’s also a serious vibe inside - dark, sexy with great music, amazing service and cool people. If you haven’t dined here yet, add this to the top of your list.
What to order: Shanghai Firecracker Chicken, Wagyu Ribeye Szechuan Peppered Steak, Gulf Shrimp Fried Rice and honestly, everything.
Pro tip: Go with a group so you can order everything to share.

Why I loved it: While I’m not the biggest fan of going out in Wynwood, Double Knot is worth the chaos. It’s located in the old Wynwood Kitchen space (IYKYK) and it actually lives up to the hype. Go with a group of friends before a night out - everything on the menu was so good and I seriously loved their Lychee Martini.
What to order: Order the Chef’s Selection menu with your group! It’s $68pp and you get so much food.

Come here if your’e in the mood for a fun date night where you and your partner can people watch, get a little drunk and enjoy a delicious meal. Also great for a group birthday celebration!

Cars & Coffee
If you’re looking for a fun, wholesome activity to do on a Sunday morning, then I highly recommend Cars & Coffee. Because I’m dating a car guy, I’ve fully immersed myself into the world of car lovers and I have to say, it’s great. There are a ton of different companies, coffee shops and brands who host Cars & Coffee, so do some research and see what’s coming up next. We went to Imperial Moto’s Car’s & Coffee the first weekend of January and cannot wait for the next one. Good coffee, a fun hobby and new friends? Say less.
If you’re in Miami, the next car event on my radar is ModaMiami, taking place February 27th to March 1st at the Biltmore Hotel.

Dinner at Cotoa
Why I loved it: This spot checked all of my boxes! A small, local spot in North Miami known for their incredible Ecuadorian food. Think: steak, plantains, fish…
